Konnichiwa Tokyo!

So as per the itinerary, Briana and I spent 2 nights and three (very full) days in Tokyo. Its pretty crazy how those two nights flew by.
Tokyo is an amazing city. It is absolutely massive and each area has something cool and different to offer, yet the culture is definitely unified throughout. The people were extremely friendly and nice; always happy to help us out whether it be for directions or tips even with a massive a language barrier. It was pretty refreshing.
Briana and I mainly spent our time going through "Trip Advisors, top ten things to do in Tokyo" which involved a lot of walking. Both of us our now so sore that we are spending the day (in Singapore) lounging and taking it easy to try and recover.
Below or some of the pictures we took a long the way at the various sites.

Tsijuki Market

This fish market was absolutely incredible. We have never seen any thing like it. Endless rows and isles of all different types of recently caught fish.
 Above and below: knife vendor

Believe it or not the eels (or unagi) below were still breathing despite the massive gash in their necks!

The above picture is a miniature pickup truck where all the wholesalers would throw their scraps
Below: Massive Tuna head! (bigger then Bri)
 Below: how bout some octopi
Below: this tuna required a team effort to filet that sucker

Asakusa Temple
Otherwise known as the Senso-ji temple. Is a very large Buddhist temple. It was pretty interesting.

 The Meiji-Shrine
is the oldest shrine and temple of its kinda in Tokyo. It is located in the Shibuya district. There happened to be a wedding ceremony going on while we were there.
