Our Time in Singapore

At first Singapore blew us away. We couldn't believe how developed and built up it is. It definitely has a different kind of beauty; more of a man made beauty.
To be honest we found it very crowded to the point where it was overwhelming. Nonetheless, the city had so much to offer. From good food to shopping like you couldn't believe (not that we took part in either lol). Our entire time here we were still unbelievable sore from walking to Tokyo, so we used our time here to really relax and recover (not that we have recovered yet haha). However, we did force ourselves to walk explore the city. I am sorry folks, but Briana and I forgot to bring our cameras during our first day where we did most of our exploring.

We stayed at a very intense hotel. From an architectural, engineering and construction standpoint it is out of this world . But the place was very crowded and nothing was of good value. However, we had an amazing time and spent the majority of it at an infinity pool located on a sky park that spanned across the top of three sky scrappers 58 stories above ground. The only way to really picture it is to see the photos below :)

Below: World's largest observation wheel (no, we did not go on it)
Briana on top of Sky Park with the downtown Singapore skyline

I feel like this one could be in magazine haha
Below: Briana warming up at another part of the Sky Park

Sky Park/Singapore Skyline at night.....yes, it really does look that beautiful
Below: Sitting at the bottom of the Marina Bay Sands Resort.... That boat looking-thing above the three sky scrapers is Sky Park
Our second day in Singapore we did more exploring despite being sudo-paralized from our sore-ness. Below are a couple pictures from little India. (Just after a very VERY intense thunder shower)

and of course....more pictures from the top of Sky Park :)

Below is a picture of the Museum for Arts and Science taken from the top of Sky Park. Briana and I spent our last day checking out the exhibits (Titanic Uncovered and Salvador Dali) which were really cool. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures, so you will not see any on this blog.

and that's all I have for Singapore. Keep in mind this blog is completely made up of my photos. Briana has many more, which were all taken on a far superior camera, so you will have to bug her to see them once we are home.

Now Briana and I are about to leave for Koh Samui, Thailand and no the flooding has not affected that area haha. We are very much ready to leave Singapore and could not be more excited to start are journey through the southeast of Asia.

Speak to you guys later!

  1. Hey Boichy,
So Glad to be one of your followers! Don't know how I missed this simple means of messaging you before. Happy to hear you guys are enjoying SE Asia so far (you've done the rest, now get ready for the Best!)
    Hurray for Thailand!!!
Glad as well that you didn't pass on T'land just because of the rains in Bangkok. Does this leave a few more days of overlap for you and Michael? In any case, I hope you do make it over in time for a hook-up!

As you look around Koh Samui Stevie try to imagine a time without any hotels or restaurants or tourists. When I arrived in April 1975 there were only a few fishing boats and miles of unexplored white beaches!

Have a blast! Eat some Pad Thai & drink some Chai Yen Sai Nom (Thai Iced Tea) for me!

    Safe Travels to you Both,

Love from the Entire Lengyel Clan!!!

    XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
